Hippophaes also known as the "holy fruit of the Himalayas" is considered an important ally of our health. It contains more than 190 phytonutrients, i.e. substances that reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and some forms of cancer.
It contains a high content of vitamin C, about 15 times more than an orange (45 mg per 100 g), which ranks it among the richest sources of vitamin C.
